I'm an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB - Technical University of Ostrava.

I'm working with MRL on various projects. My main working area is digital image processing. For the whole year 2005, I lived in the Jyväskylä, Finland, where I studied and worked at the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences.

Some time ago I discovered the Python language, which shortly became my hobby. I also like Clojure language. I'm a big fan of the StarTrek series and movies. My latest favorite TV show is Battlestar Galactica (RDM).

I'm co-maintainer of the linedu.vsb.cz server that's used as a student's GNU/Linux platform during their study (server accessible only within the university network).
